Since the beginning of 2016 developers have delivered over 970,000 sq m of new industrial and logistics space to the Polish market. Currently,

the total stock amounts to 10.86 million sq m and is growing rapidly.

Since the beginning of 2016 developers have delivered over 970,000 sq m of new industrial and logistics space to the Polish market. Currently, the total stock amounts to 10.86 million sq m and is growing rapidly. Currently, almost 920,000 sq m is under construction – a half of this volume was commenced in Q3 2016. It is expected that 2016 will be a record-high year in terms of completions and will exceed the outstanding year of 2014 when newly developed projects totaled 1.08 million sq m. At the end of Q3 2016, 40% of the space under construction was not secured by any prelease agreements.

So far, Warsaw II has been the most dynamic region this year, an area to which developers have returned after a few years of limited activity. In Q1-Q3 2016 almost 210,000 sq m was added to the local market. Warsaw II was followed by Poznan (170,000 sq m of completed space in Q1-Q3 2016), Silesia (160,000 sq m delivered) and Central Poland (140,000 sq m).
